About MUFFIK
With a passion for sport, health, and family, we created MUFFIK orthopedic mats to reflect our desire for a healthier world where people can move freely and pain-free. Whether you are a child discovering the world, an adult looking for relief after a hard day, or a dog in rehabilitation, we offer joy, support, and therapy through our mats.
Our little ones as our main motivation
Our little ones were the main motivation behind the creation of the orthopedic mats. As athletes in body and soul and new parents, we decided in 2016 to start a sports and movement school for children aged two. Over time, we began to notice certain imbalances in the movement of the little ones.
Knock knees and ankles, W sitting, collapsed arches, and flat feet result in a weak core, diastasis (abdominal spacing), poor movement patterns, and posture. So we asked ourselves: "What could we do about it?" My physiotherapy colleagues and I were thinking about how to strengthen our ankles and knees and, at the same time, strengthen the core.
It was a beautiful summer day...
Our one-year-old son marched barefoot on sharp stones, where the sole of his foot was nicely retracted. He jumped on the grass, where his foot comfortably spread, balanced on an old stump, and jumped on a stone. That's when the idea was born - let's get these outdoor stimuli into every home, kindergarten, or school.
And so MUFFIK was born
(MUFF = our children's nickname) We can proudly say that MUFFIK is a family company developing with every step of "our" children. The individual patterns are designed with love and controlled by the sharp eyes of our Czech physiotherapists and podiatrists. The quality and composition are declared by the strictest certification, for example, institutes like German Dekra. Thanks to this, even the smallest ones can use MUFFIK mats.
